Overview
A new village is waiting, and its charter is your students' to shape!
Welcome to Village Square, a Minecraft Education learning experience designed for educators working with students in Grades 4–8, approximately ages 9–14. Students will practice civic responsibility and systems building as they meet their neighbors, balance different perspectives, and solve community challenges to improve day-to-day life in the village square. Through creative building, teamwork, and thoughtful decision-making, they will discover how active participation in civic life can help a community thrive. We also encourage parents and families to take part in civic learning. There are lots of ways to explore civic concepts at home, and we’ve created a series of short videos to help families apply the lessons from Village Square to create a family charter. Watch the videos below and create a poster together to share your commitment to crafting compromise and giving everyone in the family a voice.
