Overview
Photos can be a powerful political medium. But seeing isn’t believing, and you can’t always trust what you see. In this lesson, students consider how photos are used to influence political opinion. They learn how evaluating photos on social media can help them conserve their attention. Students then practice using reverse image search strategies to evaluate online photos.
This lesson plan is part of the Civic Digital Literacy Project from iCivics and the Digital Inquiry Group.
