Overview
Students couldn’t possibly get a view of women’s suffrage through a single infographic. That’s why we gave you two overlapping views. Start by showing students how different approaches to the movement worked to grant women the right to vote — first in the west, then in every state after the passage of the 19th Amendment. Then have them examine five women’s rights organizations that contributed to the movement. In both infographics, students are introduced to the tactics suffragists used to keep the decades-long journey moving.
Can't get enough suffrage?? Pair this infographic with the accompanying WebQuest Movement & Action: The Women's Suffrage Movement to dive deeper into the tactics suffragists used to secure the right to vote.
