Home > County Solutions Civic Action Plan > Step 7: Fill the Holes

Learning Objectives

The student will:

  • Identify gaps in the information they have collected
  • Locate people who can answer specific questions
  • Make professional calls and emails to find out information

Overview

Students take a “step” back in Step 7 and identify gaps in their information: What pieces of the puzzle are still missing? What information is important to have before going on? To fill those holes, students learn how to make phone calls and send emails asking for information in a professional manner. They use the internet to identify people who might have the answers, then actually reach out to those people by phone and email.
