iCivics is a pioneer of online learning for civic education. Our goal is to engage students in learning. One way to accomplish that is to make learning fun. Our extensive library of civic education materials include 16 online games, and other interactive learning tools such as DBQuests and WebQuests, that provide a fun and engaging way to learn.

Do I need to register online in order to play iCivics’ games?

iCivics does not require you to register in order to play online games. However, you may be directed by your teacher to do so with a class code in order to track your progress. If you would like to create an account, you can do so by following these instructions.

How can I suggest an idea for a game?

We are always looking for great ideas of how to engage students in learning with fun, interactive games. Please submit a support ticket to share your ideas with us. Developing a game takes a long time, and we have lots of ideas but are always looking for new ones.

I don’t want to be president. Why do I need to learn civics?

Our Founder, former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor said that: “The practice of democracy is not passed down through the gene pool. It must be taught and learned by each new generation.” This means that for our country to work, everyone needs to play a role, and civic education is about learning what those roles and responsibilities are.
