Taylor is the Director of Curriculum and Content at iCivics. Having joined iCivics in 2017, Taylor has worked to grow and develop iCivics’ curricular resources. With a keen interest in pedagogical approaches and curriculum development, Taylor began her career in education teaching English to students in grades 6-12. In her role as Director of Curriculum and Content, Taylor manages the iCivics Curriculum Team and oversees the scope, voice, and depth of iCivics curricular resources. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master of Teaching degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Taylor is a firm believer that education, in all forms, opens doors. She believes in the power of educators to inspire, empower, and elevate their students' voices. When not wading knee-deep in a pool of words or championing the use of the Oxford comma, Taylor can usually be found in a plane, car, or bus exploring countries and communities around the world.
