Emily joined iCivics in February 2022 as the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer.  In this role she provides critical support to the office of the executive director, including the board of directors.  She comes to iCivics with a background in higher education and nonprofit work and is driven by a passion for supporting organizations making a difference in the social impact sector.  

Emily is a North Carolina native and has enjoyed living in five different states, the Dominican Republic, and Uganda.  She loves spending time in nature and curling up with a good book.  Emily has a Master of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Elon University.
