Angela Clay is an accomplished educator and leader with over 7 years of experience in public schools and 10 years of military service. Angela has served on numerous panels and contributed to the fight for equality in education when it comes to teaching students about history. Her efforts have landed her on documentaries for the University of Kentucky's inquiry-based learning, the Public Broadcasting System (PBS), and even the cover of Jefferson County Public Schools magazine, Envision Equity.

Angela served honorably as an officer while defending her country as a platoon leader in Afghanistan. As a transportation officer, her efforts and contributions resulted in many successful missions. Her leadership and willingness to help others has been a pillar of her teachings, as she is able to provide global perspectives on culture and customs in her history and social studies classes.

Angela has a BA in Criminal Justice from Lindenwood University, an MS in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University, and an EdS in Curriculum and Design from Saint Leo University (Northern Kentucky University). Her other professional certifications include officer leadership school, social studies teaching certification 6-9 with an AP certification.

Angela enjoys spending time with her husband and five children when she is not working. Angela also enjoys working out at her local CrossFit gym and aspires to learn how to do double unders one day.
