Summer Amro
Summer Amro joined iCivics in 2023 as an iCivics Curriculum Assistant. She has a powerful passion for supporting teachers through a high quality and practical inquiry-based curriculum. Summer began her career in 2018 as a classroom social studies teacher after graduating with a MA in Secondary Education from the University of Kentucky. Summer’s experiences in education have led her to write inquiries for the Frazier History Museum in Louisville, Kentucky, as well as being featured in the Making Inquiry Possible Project documentary from C3 Teachers.
In her free time, Summer enjoys sipping on a good cup of coffee while walking her dog or reading a book. She takes any chance she can get to experience live music, try new food, and travel around the world!
