David joined iCivics in January 2023 as the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer. In this role, he provides critical support to the office of the executive officer, including the iCivics Board of Directors.

With over 20 years of experience in public higher education, his various roles have included institutional research, assessment, accreditation, academic affairs leadership, adjunct faculty member, and most recently, executive assistant. In addition, David has worked for private sector companies including American Airlines as a flight attendant and the Walt Disney Company in store management.

A Missouri native, David has lived in 5 states and currently calls Colorado home. For fun, he enjoys traveling, hiking, and skiing. David earned a Master of Science degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology (minor in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations), both from Missouri State University.
