Elizabeth joined iCivics in September of 2023 as a Curriculum Associate, bringing her passion for inquiry based learning and civic education to the organization. Elizabeth graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2018 with an MA in social studies education. She spent a few years in the classroom, teaching US History, Psychology, and Sociology at the high school level and World History at the middle school level. Elizabeth’s expertise with developing unique and engaging inquiry-based education led her to transition out of the classroom and into the world of curriculum design.

In her free time, Elizabeth can be found spending time with her daughter, husband, and two dogs. When she isn’t with her family, she loves to read, especially fantasy novels, and also enjoys cooking and spending time in nature.
