Vanessa joined iCivics as the Team Operations Lead in September 2023. In this role, she is responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders to monitor district partnerships, support EAD Implementation Team members, and support the team’s growth and development. She comes to iCivics with over 9 years of experience working in education in Oakland, CA, and Baltimore, MD. Vanessa earned a B.A. in Sociology from UC Santa Barbara, as well as two masters in Elementary Education and Special Education from Lesley University. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husky Ralphio, rewatching old TV shows with her 3 cats, and hanging out with friends and family.
