Overview
Historians analyze. In this lesson, students will use inquiry to discover how leaders fight for things they believe in. Students will learn about the life of Ona Judge, a woman enslaved in the Washington household. Mrs. Judge fled enslavement while in Philadelphia and later told her story to an abolitionist. Students will be able to use evidence to answer the mystery question: "How do leaders fight for something important?"
