Overview

Historians analyze sources. In part 1 of this two-part lesson, students determine the views American colonists had toward Native nations by studying the Declaration of Independence and notes from the Continental Congress. Students prepare for part 2 by predicting which strategies Native nations might use to protect their sovereignty during the American Revolutionary War.
