Overview
Historians study cause and effect. In this lesson, students will learn that the British government punished the American colonists for the Boston Tea Party by passing the Intolerable Acts. They will learn what the Intolerable Acts did and explore how the colonists responded to the punishment. Students will use reasons and evidence to support their answer to the mystery question: Did the punishment for the Boston Tea Party work?
