How Does Culture Impact the Way We Live?

In this unit, the story of the Clotilda Africans is the backdrop to learning about cultural values. Students will see how they incorporated many of the Yoruba cultural values they had learned as children in West Africa into their new community of Africatown, located in Alabama. They will have opportunities to reflect on the cultural values that are important to them and their families.
